Carlisle Travel is founded by Halbert Carlisle, marking the beginning of a legacy that would span more than eight decades.

1981
The Saxe family acquires the company and begins shaping it into one of California’s most respected travel firms.

1988
Our current President, Jerry Saxe, joins Carlisle Travel, overseeing operations across two Los Angeles offices and laying the groundwork for strategic expansion.

A third location is added in Mid Wilshire, strengthening our presence throughout the greater Los Angeles area.

Over the next sixteen years, Carlisle Travel acquires and merges five additional travel agencies, unifying them under one growing brand.

President
With more than 30 years of travel industry experience, Jerry has created and implemented innovative programs in both corporate travel management and incentive travel. Working with a vast array of global clients, including many Fortune 500 companies, he has developed marketing strategies to increase sales through incentive trips and significantly cut overspending for business travel departments. His creativity in customizing client programs, long-standing relationships with travel partners, and unparalleled work ethic have been key factors in shaping Carlisle into what it is today. Jerry holds a BSBA in Administration from the University of Arizona and leads Carlisle Travel from the Los Angeles west coast headquarters.

With a deep passion for travel, Tricia leads Carlisle’s large, dynamic team of 155 independent travel advisors, in addition to collaborating with individual clients creating unique itineraries for both business and vacation trips. Throughout 33 years in the industry, she has worked for Fortune 500 companies such as NIKE, where she directed travel for the sports marketing division and served as the manager of domestic travel and relocations. She is a destination expert with a business acumen built over decades of journeying the world.

With 4 years of experience in L&D, and over 10+ years in the leisure travel industry, Gil brings a passion for fostering talent and enhancing organizational effectiveness. His background includes designing and implementing comprehensive training programs that align with strategic objectives, and developing learning modules tailored to industry trends. Gil has distinguished himself as a dynamic leader with a flair for elevating both operational strategies and client experiences. Beginning his career as a reservation agent, Gil quickly showcased a rare combination of analytical prowess and creative problem-solving, earning accolades for his ability to drive results. In his current role as L&D Manager, Gil channels his extensive expertise into steering the company towards new heights. He excels in crafting innovative solutions that address both immediate challenges and long-term goals. Gil is known for his strategic foresight and ability to inspire teams, ensuring that Carlisle Travel Management and our independent contractors exceed the industry standard and client expectations.

Soon, she was jetting through the corporate travel world, managing accounts for four major companies. Carlisle Travel offers a structured onboarding experience designed to help you feel confident from day one. New agents receive a multi-stage training program that includes a three-hour webinar, personalized one-on-one sessions with our management team, and ongoing support as you begin building your business. We’re here to guide you at every step as you grow as a travel agents.
Prior experience is not needed to join. While travel industry experience is helpful, what matters most is your passion for travel and your personal knowledge of destinations. Our onboarding process starts from the ground up, giving you the foundational tools and training needed to thrive as a Carlisle Travel agent.
Our commission structure is designed to reward your growth. New agents start by earning 50 percent of the commission on their bookings, with opportunities to increase your split as your total sales grow. Agents can earn up to 80 percent, giving you strong earning potential as you build your travel business. In addition to commissions, most agents also choose to charge their own planning or service fees, allowing them to further increase their income while providing high-value, personalized support to their clients.
Carlisle Travel agents receive access to a wide range of supplier booking platforms and industry tools to help you work efficiently and professionally. These systems are fully introduced during onboarding, ensuring you feel comfortable using them to serve your clients at a high standard.
As part of the Travel Leaders Network, Carlisle agents benefit from one of the industry's strongest lead-generation platforms and an extensive library of training resources. Additionally, we are continually enhancing our website, SEO, and digital presence to attract new clients and support the long-term success of our agents.

Yes, Carlisle Travel requires a one-time startup fee for all new agents. This investment includes access to comprehensive training, ongoing support from our management team, use of Carlisle’s IATAs and contracted commission rates, and inclusion on the Travel Leaders Network lead-acquisition platform under Carlisle’s profile.
