Rachel is a rockstar! We traveled with our two teenagers to Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto, and her planning was spot on. The best thing she did for us was organizing luggage forwarding (Takkyubin) between our hotels. Not having to drag four big suitcases onto the bullet train was the best decision we made. She also managed to snag us tickets to the Ghibli Park, which we knew were almost impossible to get on our own. She really listened to what our kids wanted to do and balanced it perfectly with the temples and history we wanted to see. We had a blast.
We just got back from our 10th-anniversary trip to Kyoto and Hakone, and we can’t thank Rachel enough. She recommended a specific ryokan in Hakone that had its own private hot spring on the balcony with an amazing view of Lake Ashinoko, and it was exactly the kind of relaxation we were looking for. Rachel also recommended this incredible tempura spot in Gion that we never would have found on our own. Her daily itineraries were so easy to follow and took all the stress out of navigating. It was a perfect trip from start to finish.
We were so overwhelmed trying to plan our first trip to Japan, but Rachel made everything so much easier. We spent most of our time in Tokyo and Osaka, and we would have been totally lost without her. She specifically helped us get our digital Suica cards set up on our phones before we even left home, which was a lifesaver for hopping on the subways. She also helped us navigate our way in the neighborhoods of Shimokitazawa and Koenji that was the highlight of our trip. If you’re nervous about the language barrier or the trains, just let Rachel handle it, she knows all the shortcuts!
2 days touring the islands by boat was amazing. Trip planning was excellent, Itinerary great, lodging great. Working with my budget was great! I'll definitely use Rachel's services again.
For my husband's 50th birthday, we finally took the leap and went to Tokyo. We had always been a little intimidated by the size of the city and the language, but working with Rachel put all our worries at ease. She planned a perfect day-by-day itinerary for us, and her tips were a lifesaver. Her advice on navigating the busy train stations and using IC cards made getting around so simple. Another small but incredibly helpful tip was to carry a small plastic bag for trash, which made a huge difference since trash cans are so hard to find. Thanks to Rachel, we had a stress-free and unforgettable birthday celebration.
From our very first video call, we knew Rachel was the travel agent for our family's Japan trip. We are a family of five with three kids, so finding someone who could handle all of our needs felt like a big task. Rachel was so impressive, with a huge amount of knowledge about Japan, and she took detailed notes on our family's specific interests. She immediately put us at ease by showing how she could find the perfect balance of fun, kid-friendly places and opportunities for us to learn about the culture. We knew right away we were in good hands.
My husband and I used to live in the Philippines, and we were so excited to show our parents all the places we love. We also wanted to see a new place ourselves, so Rachel helped us plan a trip that included El Nido, which we'd never been to before. Not only did she make sure everything was perfect for our parents, but she also helped us see the Philippines in a totally new light! We got to revisit old spots and make new memories with our family. We even had time to see some old friends! Rachel made everything so easy. I can't recommend her enough.
A few months ago, my family and I took the most meaningful trip to the Philippines to fulfill my mom's last wish to be in her home country. Rachel planned everything for us, and it all went so smoothly. We didn't have to worry about a thing and could just focus on spending that precious time with my mom. I can't thank Rachel enough for helping us create those beautiful last memories. She really understood how important this was to us, and her help made all the difference.
"Thank you for your kind words. It was a pleasure planning your trip. I'm glad I could help you create those memories."
I just got back from an amazing trip to Cebu, Philippines, and I have to give a huge shout-out to Rachel, my travel agent. Everything about the trip, from the flights there to coming back home to Vermont, went super smoothly. Rachel was so helpful and quick to respond. When one of my flights got canceled, she got back to me in just five minutes and did everything she could to help, even though it was out of her control. I'll definitely be asking Rachel to help me plan my next trip!
This was our first experience using a professional tour guide and it certainly will not be our last. It did feel like a leap of faith at first given its virtual nature, but now looking back we have no regrets. After only a few brief conversations on the phone, Rachel de Borja honed in on our family's interests and expertly planned our first trip to the Philippines. Rachel is very professional, courteous, and experienced. All of the flights, hotels, excursions, and dining recommendations, were top-notch and clearly planned by an expert whose sole intention was to provide customers with the best possible experience. Rachel almost literally held our hands throughout the planning of the trip and even during the 2-week adventure itself. She was always available to answer questions and allay concerns, and made the entire trip quite simple even for inexperienced travelers. We will forever be indebted to Rachel de Borja for her expertise and guidance throughout this amazing journey. Because of
